Portraits for Missions 2010!
I’m excited to announce that registration is now open for the 4th annual Portraits for Missions! It seems like it was just yesterday that we were all hanging out at the studio creating some images. But as I think about it a lot has changed in the last year. The biggest thing is that I got married. What that means is that after a lot of missions trips during our single lives, Suzy and I will finally get to go on a missions trip as a married couple!
But I’m getting ahead of myself. I’m sure a few of you are still sitting there scratching your heads wondering what Portraits for Missions is. So I’ll explain. Every year I take a few days of my schedule and do “free” 15 minute photo sessions for whoever wants to come. The suggested donation amount is $25 per person. But even is you just want to commit to pray for the trip please come so I can tell you more about it and photograph you! All the money either goes towards a missions trip I am going on through my church, or directly towards the church mission fund. The great deal about it is that you get some great images for almost free, and get to leave feeling you used the money for a worthy cause. The great deal for me is that I get to see all of you in person and take photos. It’s a win win!
This year the trip that matched our skill set best isn’t going to be an exotic location. In fact we won’t even be leaving the state. But you’re going to have to come to the portrait session to hear more about it. =)
This year’s portrait dates are February 6th, 12th, and 13th. Last year I had 72 different groups sign up, and the spots went pretty fast. So make sure to sign up soon! Please email me if you have any questions!
And just to add one more photo to the page, here’s a photo I took two years ago of all the missionaries from our church! I’ll leave you to guess which ones we are helping this year! =) I’ll also leave you to find where I edited myself into the photo. =).
